ONE PURPOSE.
Care for peopleCare for our planetLearning through doingChange starts together

It starts with
what we can do.

An old newspaper can help fund essential supplies. An afternoon together can become a chance to learn.

Tathya is a student-led community initiative connecting practical action with care for children. Our work brings together environmental responsibility, creative learning, and body safety education.

Through two projects, we put that idea into practice: recycling paper to support an orphanage, and leading activities and body safety sessions for primary students.

OUR FOCUS

Thoughtful use of resources.

Time spent with purpose.

Learning that puts children first.

02 / OUR PROJECTS

Two ways to put care into action.

Different beginnings.
The same care.

From our community’s homes to a shared purpose.

PROJECT 01 / RECYCLING & ORPHANAGE SUPPORT

Paper to
purpose.

What we no longer need can help provide what someone else does.

We collected newspapers, used books, and other paper materials from local households, then sold them to scrap collectors. The proceeds helped fund food, books, toys, and stationery for children at an orphanage.

The visit was also a chance to spend time together. We led a hands-on STEM activity with oobleck, exploring a material that behaves differently when pressed and when allowed to flow.

01 / COLLECT

Start in the community.

Gather newspapers, old books, and discarded paper from local households.

02 / RECYCLE

Give paper another life.

Sell the collected material to scrap collectors and use the proceeds for the visit.

03 / CONNECT

Bring supplies. Share time.

Deliver essentials and spend the day learning and making with the children.

PROJECT 02 / PRIMARY SCHOOL OUTREACH

Room
to grow.

A place to create, ask questions, and learn about personal safety.

At a primary school, we conducted activities for young students and taught body safety. Creative work and classroom conversations gave us different ways to engage with the children.

From helping at a table to speaking with the group, the sessions centred on participation, care, and making time for each child.

CREATE

Ideas take shape.

Art activities invite students to explore, express themselves, and work alongside classmates.

LEARN

Safety deserves a conversation.

Body safety was a focus of our teaching with primary students.

PARTICIPATE

Make room for every child.

Small group activities and individual support bring the session closer to each student.

04 / WHAT GUIDES US

Care isn’t just
a feeling.
It’s something
we do.

01

Start with what’s here.

Useful materials, local connections, and the time we can give are a place to begin.

02

Put people at the centre.

The supplies matter. So do listening, participation, and the time spent together.

03

Connect care with learning.

Bring environmental responsibility, creative discovery, and personal safety into practical action.

SMALL ACTS. SHARED POSSIBILITIES.

A little care.
A place to begin.
